The ocean has played a pivotal role in facilitating cultural exchange among humans. With the advancements made during the Age of Discovery and the establishment of a global trade network, Asia has emerged as one of the most vibrant regions for trade and cultural interactions. This has ushered in a new era of mutual learning in human history and civilizations. Among the destinations frequently visited by Zheng He during his voyages, Malaysia stands out as a significant one. It boasts a rich heritage associated with these voyages along the “Belt and Road” and serves as an international hub for various Zheng He activities. This year marks the 50th anniversary since China and Malaysia established diplomatic relations, prompting collaborative efforts from both countries’ sectors to organize a grand commemorative event.
